One question that I get asked a lot is ‘how can I make my twist-out/braid-out last longer?’ I can totally understand why. Who wants to spend all day washing and styling, and all night waiting for it to dry, and only get one day out of the style? Not me! So what are some ways to make that hair style last throughout the week?

This doggie has been on vacation too. Lots of table food, treats galore, walks in the park. This is just one of the beds she has at my parents house. Spoiled grand-dog. The gig is up after today. #doggievacation #granddog #nunu #shihtzu

Decided to ‘just throw it in a hat’ tonight. Slight beat of the face and I’m out. Headed out to a local fashion event with the boo @natural_allure. I love strips and dots together btw. ✌️

The ‘puff’ is a very popular natural hairstyle for all textures and lengths. While it is easy and versatile, this style can put a lot of tension on the hairline, causing breakage, thinning and hair loss over time. Why? Because the tools we use often are to blame. Bands pulled too tightly or clips that get tangled in the hair are examples. The PuffCuff Hair Clamp (PC) was developed to create a tool that not only makes it easy to achieve stylish looks without stressing your hair, but that is sanitary, durable and affordable.
What They Say
After years of searching for an accessory to accommodate thick textured hair, we created PuffCuff. It works with every type of coily hair, from kinky to curly, to help you create many beautiful hairstyles without cinching your hair to the smallest point of resistance and damaging it. The PuffCuff, a “remix” of the banana clip, is uniquely designed to hold and style even the thickest of thick hair. Retail price – $11.99 for 5″ clamp.
What I Say
The PuffCuff did hold my thick hair back in a pony tail easily. I had to take my time to make sure all of my hair was in the clamp before I locked it in place. Because the clamp I received was so big, I couldn’t really do the styles that I normally do with my ouchless ponytail holder. But I believe if I’d had the smaller size to review, that would have been very easy to do. I also hope they will make the clamp in different colors to match different common hair colors as well. Compared to the cost of other hair clamps and holders, the Puff Cuff is a bit more expensive than your average hair tool. But if the puff is your go-to style, it may be worth it to keep your edges safe and sound.
